Exploring Ghana’s  Natural Cultural Assets for Poverty  Reduction

The book discusses  some cultural assets that were identified in three regions of  Ghana. These are the Volta, Greater Accra, and the Eastern regions.. Interesting heritage cultural sites were explored. These included the proverbial Dodowa Forest site  which provides a historical account of the saying: 'go to the Dodowa forest and see' and is located in the GA West District in Ghana. The Eastern region provides  interesting tourist sites that include Awugugwa community where the known mystical Okomfo Anokye was born. There is also the story of the dancing cow at Obosomase and the 99 steps that  people would need to take before getting to kyenku water falls. The book has nine sections that discuss  various heritage sites including water falls, Mt Afadjato; one of the highest mountains in Africa, rivers and indigenous local artifacts which portray some of  Ghana’s cultural assets which could be used to generate income to reduce poverty.
